I just wanted to share a sneak peek of a family photo session that I shot this week. I LOVE shooting in fields–especially ones filled with Queen Ann’s lace. I was fortunate enough to find this beautiful field not far from home in L’Ange Gardien, QC.
I would love to shoot your family photos and if you’re looking to have your family photos taken in a field, count me in. Contact me today.
A few weeks ago I shot some family photos of my sister, niece and nephew at the beach. It’s amazing how quickly times flies. I have seen these kids grow up from babies to adults. Knowing how quickly kids grown up, I understand the importance of having professional family portraits taken in order to capture a moment in time of you and your family. These are the photos that will hang on your walls of your home.
E-mail me today to book your family photo session. I would love to capture some great memories for you and your family to cherish for a lifetime.
Last week I took photos of this little guy. He was a tough nut to crack, but in the end he was too tuckered out to fight me on the posing. Here’s a sneak peek from his session. More photos to come soon.
Here are some photos from my little lamb’s July photo shoot for Nelli’s Bowtique hair accessories on Esty. I was given these beautiful head bands by Nelli’s Bowtique with the purpose to photograph them with a baby or child and then send her the files. I finally made the time to do the photo shoot using my daughter since it was convenient to do everything at home. As my daughter has gotten older, it has been much harder to take her photos since all she wants to do is run around and play. She is not interested in having her photos taken. However, I talked my husband into helping me by getting my daughter to smile and putting her back in place when she tried to run away.
I hope that you enjoy these photos of my little girl as much as I do. All of the pain and agony paid off with some lovely pictures that I can cherish of my daughter AND that Nelli’s Bowtique can use for her advertising.
One year baby photos with baby K | Gatineau baby photographers
This little lady came in for her one year cake smash photo session and prior to the cake smash session, I did a mini portrait session of her in a couple of cute outfits. Enjoy these photos of this cute little baby girl who just celebrated her first birthday a few weeks ago. Check out more of my baby photography.
I would love to photograph your little one. E-mail me to book your baby’s portrait session. I shoot portraits of babies indoors or outdoors.
Well, well, well…what can I say about his particular cake smash photo session. The portrait photos prior to the cake smash were FANTASTIC! Look at this little cutie’s smile and curls. Then the cake smash session began and this little girl was NOT having any part of it. It wasn’t until mommy came into the scene (literally) and sat with her before she would even venture remotely close to her cake. We even switched to a different cake, which she seemed to like better than the first one (you can’t even believe how many cakes these guys brought with them!) However, I still managed to get quite a few shots of her smiling, despite being covered in cake and icing.
Happy birthday little girl. You’re now one year old. At least 20-25 years from now mommy and daddy can use the cake smash story for a good laugh at your wedding reception and they’ll have the photos to prove it.
Enjoy these portraits and cake smash photos of this little cutie. You can also check out more of my cake smash photos.
2 Year Old Baby Cake Smash | Gatineau Baby Photographers
My daughter’s birthday is this month, so I wanted to do a 2 year old cake smash photo session with her as I LOVE shooting cake smash sessions and her 1 year cake smash session from last year turned out beautifully.
Last year I had Thimble Cakes make my daughter’s smash cake and they did a beautiful job. However, this year I wanted to try to bake and decorate a smash cake myself, since I found some really great ideas and tips on Pinterest on how to decorate a giant cupcake. And I was very blessed to have my friend, Gisleide from L’Assiette Dessert, help me and give me pointers on how to make frosting rosettes. (My bad for not making the best butter cream icing to work with, but it still turned out pretty good for my first time.)
For anyone looking to have a one year cake smash or two year cake smash photo session for their baby, I do them in my home in L’Ange Gardien or outdoors in Ottawa or Gatineau. Send me an e-mail and I can send you my price list.
Anyway, I hope that you enjoy the cake smash photos of my little girl. Have a great week. You can also check out more of my cake smash photos.
I live out in the country, which affords lots of beautiful photo opportunities, so I try to take advantage of my surroundings as much as possible. I have been doing monthly photo shoots of my daughter since she was born and I intend on continuing until she is at least two, since babies change so much in the first two years of life. Lucky for me, I am a professional photographer who can do these photo sessions as much as I like.
I absolutely LOVE to photograph people in fields filled with wild flowers. To me, it is just so pretty. I am very lucky that our country property has a field with two small barns with old barn wood as well as lots of different wild flowers. Fields and barns truly make me happy if I can use them in a photo shoot. And since it is on our property, it is so nice to just walk outside and start shooting. It definitely makes it easier to wait for the pretty light and reschedule whenever I want to. The hardest part is getting my toddler to smile at my camera, when all she wants to do is run around and play. Ha! Ha!
One year baby cake smash photo shoot (Gatineau Photographers)
A few weeks ago I shot my first baby cake smash with an adorable little girl. For anyone not familiar with what this is, it is a portrait session that is shot around a baby’s first birthday. First, the baby will have a regular mini photo session in a nice outfit. Then, the baby’s nice outfit is removed (in order to keep it from getting coloured icing all over it) and then the baby is placed by a small cake or large cupcake with lots of gooey icing. They are free to do whatever they please to that cake, which may or may not involve squishing their hands or feet into it and maybe even eat some of it if they are inclined. Well, this little girl was not really into getting too icky and she was definitely not in the mood for cake. But thems the breaks when you are working with a one-year-old. I have come to understand that you cannot push a baby to do anything that they don’t want to do–including eating cake. But I still managed to get some good shots and had fun while doing it.
For each cake smash photo session, the parents are in charge of arranging to bring a small cake or cupcake to be smashed. This is due to food allergies as you will know your own child’s eating restrictions. For those wanting a healthier version of the traditional cake, there are several places in Ottawa that make gluten-free , nut and egg free/vegan friendly as well as sugar free cakes. You can contact any of the above mentioned bakeries for more info and to tell them exactly what you are looking for.
I would love to shoot your baby’s cake smash. Just send me an e-mail and we can arrange a day and time that works for you and your precious baby. To promote this I am having a deal in which you would receive a 10″x10″ cake smash collage print similar to the one below for a keepsake of your baby’s first milestone birthday.
