I would be thrilled to be your wedding photographer. Contact me today and we can arrange a meeting so that you can tell me what you are looking for and I can create beautiful images of your special day to cherish always.
A few weeks ago I shot spring mini sessions at the Ottawa Arboretum. This was one of the families that did a mini session that day. Their little guy was a tough one to get smiles from, but in the end I was able to get some fun shots of him. It helps when mom and dad are swinging you in the air. It also helped when he was pretending to play hockey.
If you are thinking of having your photos taken, I would LOVE to be your portrait photographer. Contact me and we can arrange it while the weather is still lovely and warm.
Hi everyone. I am currently offering a summer maternity photo shoot special. You would get a 1 hour outdoor session in Ottawa, ON or Gatineau, QC. You will also receive 20-25 high resolution digital files to download (no watermarks) with print release to make your own prints.
A few weeks ago I photographed some maternity photos of a good friend of mine and her husband. We did the pregnancy photos at the Ottawa Arboretum as well as at the Experimental Farm. We had to postpone a couple of times to wait for the apple and cherry blossoms to bloom and it was well worth the wait as the trees were so beautiful with pink and white blooms everywhere.
If you haven’t visited the Arboretum or the Experimental Farm in the spring, you are truly missing out. It’s like a bunch of candy floss exploded everywhere (in a good way). I look forward to shooting your newborn photos when your little man decides to see the world with his own little eyes.
For anyone wanting to do maternity photos, contact me. I LOVE shooting maternity portraits. The best time to do a maternity photo session is when you are between 28-32 weeks pregnant.
Happy 1st Anniversary Betty-Ann and Eric! I have reposted their blog post to reminisce about their wonderful wedding day one year ago today. Enjoy.
On June 1st I had the honour to photograph Eric and Betty-Ann’s rustic style wedding at Mariposa Farm in Plantaneget, ON (about a 1/2 hr east of Ottawa). Mariposa Farm is a duck farm, which supplies Ottawa area restaurants with duck and foie gras. They also have chickens, geese, pigs, cows, horses and two big dogs at the farm.
A few weeks before their wedding, I photographed Eric and Betty-Ann’s engagement photos, which were shot in various parts of Ottawa to give an urban feel to contrast their rustic style wedding photos.
I was nervous about the weather because there was a 70% chance of rain, including thunder storms in the afternoon and the wedding ceremony was at 4:00pm. However, as I drove towards the farm, the sky began to clear up and the sun came out, so I kept my fingers crossed that the nice weather would last and it did. IT DID! YAHOO!!!! In fact, it lasted all day, until we finished shooting all of our outdoor shots and went inside for the reception. Then it turned dark, the skies opened up and it poured rain–like raining cats and dogs rain! I was SO thankful that the weather held off until we we got what we needed to do finished.
Everything turned out so well. The decorations around the farm were so cute and colourful that they far exceeded my expectations. I was thrilled when I saw them. Everywhere you looked, there was something so cute and rustic. I mean, the salt and pepper shakers alone had me excited to start shooting detail shots. Oh, and you just have to look at the photos to see how gorgeous the wedding arch for the ceremony was with its tree branches, bright red draped fabric and a rainbow of coloured paper lanterns. The details are definitely Pinterest worthy.
I was happy that the weather stayed nice for as long as we needed it and I was even happier when I came home, uploaded the photos onto my computer and started to view them larger than what I was seeing on my camera’s screen. There is so many bright colours and happiness in the photos.
If you’re newly engaged and looking for a wedding photographer, I would love to hear from you and all about your fantastic wedding plans. Contact me today to book a consultation.

A few weeks ago I photographed this lovely little family at the Arboretum for my annual spring mini sessions. It was a gorgeous sunny day and there was one tree in particular that was almost in full bloom.
Spring is my favourite time of year for shooting photos and it’s a great time to do mini sessions. I just wish that the beautiful blooms on the trees lasted longer than a week and a half. But that’s what I love about photography–you can freeze these moments in time. And likewise, I am happy to have captured some moments in time of this lovely family so that they will have some family photos to cherish.
I love shooting family photos. If you are looking to have family photos taken contact me to book an appointment.
Arboretum Spring Maternity Photos | Ottawa Photographer
This past weekend I shot spring mini sessions at the Ottawa Arboretum and this little lady (who has assisted me on and off for about 6 years) came to help out. As always, it was a pleasure working with you chickie. Enjoy a couple of photos from Saturday.
Last week I took some newborn photos of a little 10 day old sweetie in Gatineau. She was a real cutie. I mean, look at that beautiful head of hair and that sweet little face.
Check out more of my newborn photography. For those of you who might be looking for a portrait photographer or a wedding photographer, you can check out more of my work for family, baby, maternity or cake smash photography or wedding photography. I hope to hear from you soon.
Last week I had the pleasure to meet this little baby boy and photograph his newborn photos with his mom and dad. You might recall their winter maternity photo session taken a few months ago. He was 14 days old for this photo shoot and he was a real fighter in wanting to stay awake for the photo shoot, but we were still able to get some sleepy baby poses of this little man.
My absolute FAVOURITE photo from this newborn photo shoot is the one of him surrounded by beautiful African art. You see, this couple lived and worked in Africa for a few years before returning home to Canada. When I saw the beautiful African art in their home, I knew that I had to incorporate these things into at least of the portraits in order to make it more personal as well as it’s so darn cool looking. Enjoy.
