Baby L’s Newborn Photos

Last week I did a photo session with this little sweetie.  She was just nine days old.  Despite having a couple of toddlers running around in the house, this little girl was a trooper who was still able to stay sleepy for most of the photo session.  Yay for sleepy babies.  By the way, my favourite one is the sock monkey photo.  I have wanted to do this setup for quite a while.

For anyone looking to have newborn photos taken of their baby, the best time to have photos taken of them is when they are 3-10 days old.  This is when babies are the most sleepy, so it is easier to get those cute sleepy baby photos.  If babies are older than that, they will be more likely to stay awake during their photo shoot, which can still be quite cute, but for parents wanting sleeping baby poses, they may be a little disappointed.

I suggest for pregnant women to either book their newborn photo session in their last month of pregnancy or book the session as soon as the baby is born, in order to ensure that their baby can be photographed within that 10 day limit.

Enjoy the photos of this precious little one and her big sis.  🙂
